eswegee Vliesstoff GmbH is a world class textile manufacturing company established in 1928 when it was founded as Süddeutsche Webstoff Gesellschaft mbH. The name eswegee was derived from the initials SWG at the end of the 1960s. eswegee continues to operate successfully as a global nonwovens producer.

eswegee started as a marketing and sales division of the Textilgruppe Hof. At the time, all woven interlinings and lining materials for the apparel industry were produced within the Textilgruppe Hof and were subsequently transferred to the eswegee Vliesstoff GmbH in  1973. Since 1985, the technical product porfolio has expanded significantly and now includes nonwoven for industrial applications, primarily for the automotive industry.

Today the apparel and industrial business units represent the fundamental pillars of the eswegee Vliesstoff GmbH. Nowadays eswegee Vliesstoff GmbH, a division of the Textilgruppe Hof AG, exists of eswegee, Techtex Vliesstoffe and Hof Textiles as well as the  participation at Supreme Nonwovens and is a global supplier of the widest range of nonwovens technologies with 5 production locations in Hof/Bavaria, Reichenbach/Saxonia, Mittweida/Saxonia, Lincolnton/USA and Mumbai/India.
